Ukraine To Launch Transfer Pricing Unit

by Ulrika Lomas, Tax-News.com, Brussels

21 January 2019

On January 9, 2018, the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service announced that a new department dedicated to transfer pricing and international and large business tax issues will be established.

Oleksandr Vlasov, head of the DFS, said that the new transfer pricing department will help Ukraine to meet its commitment to tackle base erosion and profit shifting and align its practices with OECD recommendations in this area.

The plan to establish a new transfer pricing unit is part of a wider reorganization of the DFS, which will see separate tax and customs functions created.

Currently, transfer pricing issues are dealt with by the Audit Department of the Department of Taxes and Fees for Legal Entities within the DFS.

According to the DFS, in 2018 more than 2,000 taxpayers submitted reports on controlled transactions for 2017.
