Turkish Superyacht Output Now Ranked 6th In World

by Mary Swire, Tax-News.com, Hong Kong

Turkey now ranks 6th in the world for its Superyacht output, new figures have revealed.

According to the Global Order Book (GOB), Turkish ship builders have seen 1% growth in the GOB's market share in the past 12 months, and currently have around 39 Superyachts under construction/ready for delivery.

Turkish shipbuilder RMK Marine claims that much of the increase in demand stems from the significant improvements to the quality of the Turkish builds in recent years. According to RMK, Turkish shipbuilding yards have improved dramatically over the past 3 years, enabling the ship builders to deliver an extremely high standard of yachts to clients - many of which are now MCA or Lloyds certified.
