Trade-Boosting MoU Signed Between Nissan And Ennore Port

The Indian branch of Japanese Motor Co, Nissan - Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL) - has announced this week that it has signed an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ennore Port Ltd (EPL) in order to boost its export volumes.

Under the conditions of the new agreement, NMIPL will now be able to utilize the Indian port in order to increase its export revenues by shipping motor vehicles to Europe as of 2010.

The signing of the MoU was witnessed by Nissan Motor India Managing Director, Shouhei Kimura and the Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, T R Baalu.

Of the agreement, Mr Kimura remarked:

"We are happy to sign an MoU with Ennore Port Ltd and it would meet Nissan's requirements to export vehicles."
