Stratos Rolls Out WiFi Onboard Charters

by Mike Godfrey, Tax-News.com, Washington

Stratos Jet Charters, a worldwide air charter agency, announced on October 17 that, upon request, clients can now charter private aircraft from its newly-updated approved air carrier network with high-speed Internet connectivity, in-flight.

The agency announced that it has access to several new Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft, including Citation X and Challenger 300 jets.

Joel Thomas, President of Stratos Jet Charters, said that Wi-Fi Internet on private jets will add tremendous value to corporate charter flights by enabling passengers to access their laptops, smart phones, netbooks and other Wi-Fi devices in their "office in the sky."

"The ability to access the Internet over a closed Wi-Fi network in flight enhances an already highly-efficient business tool. It reduces down-time for business travelers who can now stay connected with their home office, make last-minute changes based on newly-acquired information and conduct important meetings, web conferences and business dealings whilst in the air,” Thomas said.
