Spain's Andalucia To Waive Tax On Most Inheritances

by Ulrika Lomas, Tax-News.com, Brussels

21 September 2017

Spain's Andalucia region is scaling back inheritance tax for estates left to direct family members.

Inheritances to children, spouses, parents, and grandchildren for assets worth EUR1m (USD1.2m) or less will be exempt.

Parents will also be able to gift up to EUR1m while alive tax-free providing the funds are used to establish a business or other job-creating enterprise.
