Singapore Seeks Suggestions for 2015 Budget

by Mary Swire, Tax-News.com, Hong Kong

01 December 2014

Singapore's Ministry of Finance is seeking ideas and suggestions from individuals and businesses on tax and spending policies ahead of the 2015 Budget.

The consultation is being launched in conjunction with REACH, a Government-established agency that seeks to involve the public and businesses in Government activities. The consultation began on November 26, 2014, with views being accepted through the Government's Pre-Budget 2015 website until January 29, 2015.

The MOF has also launched its Budget 2015 website, through which the public can access the latest updates on Budget 2015, as well as general information on the Singapore national budget process.

Three pre-Budget 2015 'Listening Points' are also to be established across Singapore from December 2014 to January 2015, to enable Singaporeans to share their views in person.
