Panama's National Assembly has approved legislation that will extend tax incentives for hotels and tourism services providers until 2025.

A statement published on the National Assembly's website on February 4, 2019, said Law Project 696 had been approved at third reading by the Assembly, to modify and extend tax perks introduced in Law 80 of November 8, 2012, for the sector.

According to the statement, the law will extend tax incentives for companies that had expired from December 31, 2017, for those providing various entertainment services for tourists.
