MACI Signs Maritime Safety Agreement With DNV

The top management of the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI) has signed a new maritime safety agreement with Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the Norwegian classification society.

"In light of the numerous and significant changes in the industry in recent years, we are entering into new Agreements with our seven global Class partners to ensure that we keep pace with these changes and maintain Cayman at the forefront of the international maritime safety arena," explained MACI CEO, A. Joel Walton, head of the delegation.

The official signing took place at Det Norske Veritas headquarters in Hoevik, Norway.

Signing on behalf of that organization was DNV's Chief Operating Officer, Mr Tor Sevensen.
