Kuwait Signs Common Reporting Standard

The OECD announced on August 19 that Kuwait has become the latest country to sign up to the Common Reporting Standard Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (CRS MCAA).

In joining the MCAA, territories commit to automatically exchange financial account information with other nations' tax authorities under the OECD's new tax information exchange standard, the CRS. Kuwait became the 84th jurisdiction to sign the agreement.

Kuwait has committed to begin automatically exchanging such information from 2018.
