Kosovo To Provide Investors With 'Stable, Competitive Tax Settings'

by Mike Godfrey, Tax-News.com, Washington

20 October 2017

During a recent meeting with Kosovo's Prime Minister and government ministers, American firms engaged in Kosovo encouraged the Government to improve the manufacturing sector's international competitiveness through offering favorable fiscal policies, enacting tax holidays to spur new investments, and creating financial mechanisms for start-ups and innovative firms.

The prime minister told the delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo that the Government will seek to address and remove all barriers that impede firms in doing business and the progress of private sector endeavors.

In a bid to assure businesses of certain tax treatment, he said that Kosovo's budget will only grow through economic development, rather than by increasing tax rates.
