Jobs's Apple-Style Super Yacht Delivered By Feadship

A bespoke super yacht designed for the late Steve Jobs, Venus, has been delivered by Dutch shipyard, Feadship, to his family, one year after the Apple Computers founder's death.

The 260-foot ship epitomizes Apple's mantra of intelligent, minimalistic design, and is presented with a sleek white, angular finish, and is likened to an almighty Apple Store.

As one could expect, the yacht is full of Apple technology, featuring some seven iMacs on board, six of which are used to house the bridge's instrument controls.

Even towards the end of his celebrated life, Jobs was instrumental in Venus's late-stage design, led by French interior designer Phillipe Starck. Feadship used light-weight aluminium to create the structure, incorporated teak decks, and special glass was designed to allow ten-foot-high windows to be installed along the hull.

The yacht is expected to have cost at least USD75m and is thought to be a concept piece, designed only for small voyages, rather than as a viable sea-going vessel.
