by Ulrika Lomas, Tax-News.com, Brussels

06 February 2020

On January 31, 2020, the Italian Revenue Agency released instructions on how companies, individuals, corporate groups, and partnerships can comply with their tax return filing obligations during 2020.

The instructions discuss how companies and individuals can discharge their filing obligations in relation to various income tax returns, the IRAP (Italy's regional tax), value-added tax, and group taxation.

The Italian Revenue Agency said the following changes have been introduced into returns this year: a new income limit for those with dependent children, changes to the tax treatment of sports activities, the introduction of tax breaks for foreign retirees who relocate to small towns in southern Italy, and tax breaks for company expenditure on the installation of electronic vehicle charging facilities.
