The Isle of Man Shipping Registry has launched a consultation on a draft Order to give effect to the revised MARPOL Annex V regulations for the prevention of pollution by garbage from ships.

The Order applies to all Isle of Man-registered ships, and Part 3 of this Order applies to a foreign ship visiting an Isle of Man port.

If approved by Tynwald, this Order will come into effect from February 21, 2014. The consultation is to run until November 19, 2013.
