Indonesia Increases Airport Tax

Indonesia is to hike its air departure tax for Soekarno-Hatta Airport, by far the country's busiest, from March 1.

The tax on domestic flights from Terminal 1 will increase from IDR50,000 to IDR65,000 (USD4.80), the levy on domestic flights from Terminal 2 will rise from IDR60,000 to IDR85,000 (USD6.27), and the tax on international flights from terminal three will increase from IDR200,000 to IDR230,000 (USD16.97).

The rates for Terminal 3 domestic flights and Terminal 2 international flights remain unchanged, at IDR130,000 (USD9.60) and IDR150,000 (USD11.07), respectively.
