by Mary Swire, Tax-News.com, Hong Kong

17 December 2008

It has been announced that state-run oil companies in India have cut the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel by a further 11%.

The reduction came into effect on December 15.

Earlier this year, the price of jet fuel rocketed to INR71,026 (USD1,484) per kilolitre in the country's capital, Delhi.

However, since then, ATF prices have steadily declined.

The price cut will take ATF prices in Delhi down to INR32,691 per kilolitre, with prices in Mumbai dropping down from INR38,103 to INR33,719 per kilolitre.
