Guernsey Regulator Releases Stock Market Integrity Code
by Jason Gorringe, Tax-News.com, London
19 April 2018
Guernsey's financial services regulator, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, has released a draft code on market conduct standards focusing on behavior it considers amounts to market abuse.
The Code covers behavior in relation to investments traded on regulated markets on the island and markets accessible electronically from Guernsey, including the London Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Code does not have the effect of modifying any disclosure obligations of a regulated market or the island's Takeover Code.
The code is to be subject to a consultation until June 12.
