Greenland Commits To Automatic Information Exchange

by Ulrika Lomas, Tax-News.com, Brussels

23 December 2015

Greenland signed the OECD's Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (MCAA) on December 17, 2015.

In signing the deal, Greenland has confirmed its commitment to automatically exchange financial account information from 2017 with other countries' tax authorities. Greenland is the 78th jurisdiction to sign the Agreement.

Under the MCAA, financial information will be collected from January 1, 2016, in around 50 jurisdictions, for automatic exchange between authorities in 2017. Other countries will begin exchanging that information in 2018.
