EU Imposes New Anti-Dumping Duties On Steel

The European Commission has announced the imposition of new anti-dumping duties on imports of hot rolled flat steel products from four countries.
The countries affected are Brazil, Iran, Russia, and Ukraine. Hot rolled flat steel products from these countries will face duties ranging between EUR17.60 (USD20.60) and EUR96.50 per tonne, following the conclusion of an investigation by the European Commission.
The Commission said that although Serbian imports of hot rolled flat steel products to the EU were initially part of the investigation, they were not included in the final regulation because their volume was considered negligible.
The EU now has a total of 48 anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures in place on steel products.
