The Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) recently received a Chinese delegation headed by Zhang Qingwei, Governor of Hebei Province, to explore new investment prospects to deepen economic cooperation between the UAE and China.
Meeting with the visiting delegation in the presence of Li Lingbing, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai, Mohammed Al Zarooni, Director General of DAFZA, underlined the key features of the free trade zone. DAFZA offers a number of tax incentives to businesses, including 100 percent exemption from corporate tax and import and export tax, and allows 100 percent foreign ownership.
"We look forward to transferring our logistics and administrative expertise in free zone management to our peers in China... We are working to establish robust strategic partnerships with leading international and multinational companies from various sectors, in a step forward which will significantly help increase trade exchange between the two countries and promote the UAE's position as the largest Middle East partner to China," Al Zarooni said.
