Buyer Found For Turkey's Largest Mega Yacht

Yachting Partners International (YPI) has welcomed a hugely successful Monaco Yacht Show, closing out the event with the sale of Dunya Yacht's 73m mega yacht, Red Square.

YPI kicked off the event with the sale of IFA Cannes, a 27.4m luxury motor yacht, following closely on the heels of the charter of the 73.6m mega yacht PEGASO. Red Square, the largest motor yacht ever built in Turkey, and the third largest yacht on show in Monaco, had a list price of USD86m.

Red Square features six decks with over 30,000 meters squared of space. The yacht is operated from an under-lower deck separating the crew from guests. The bridge deck features a helipad and a third saloon with a glazed roof creating a conservatory. An upper deck is dedicated entirely to the owner whilst the aft features a cinema/lounge that leads out to a dining terrace.

The main deck features a beach cub with an infinity swimming pool and four double-size sofas. The upper and main decks feature a spectacular open gallery mezzanine, and forward on the main deck is a full-beam VIP suite, two equal doubles and two twin cabins. The yacht can accommodate up to twelve guests including the owner.

Sedat Ergun, Owner & CEO of Dunya Yachts, commented: "We have always said: "expect the unexpected." Now, after all the visits we have conducted over the last few days in what was an exceptionally busy Monaco Yacht Show, the feedback is telling us overwhelmingly that we have not disappointed in delivering just that...the unexpected. RED SQUARE is our first baby - she is precious to us, and it has been a great pleasure to show her at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. Of course it is amazing to be able to announce her sale in the Show, and she is going to a good owner who I know will enjoy her every bit as much as we have enjoyed making her a reality."

Philippe Hetland Brault, CEO of Yachting Partners International, added: "We are very proud to have been able to work with Dunya and RED SQUARE. Sedat and his team have created an amazing, potentially award-winning yacht for which we are very pleased to have found a new owner. RED SQUARE matches and, in many cases, surpasses the highest quality and finish of any yacht in the world today. She is almost certainly the highest quality yacht of her size ever to come out of Turkey and a credit to the yard and the skilled on-site team from all over the world."
