Bolivian Taxpayer Base Doubles In A Decade

by Mike Godfrey, Tax-News.com, Washington

15 September 2016

The number of registered taxpayers in Bolivia increased by 216.1 percent to 813,344 between 2005 and 2015, according to the National Tax Service (SIN).

The SIN also said that the number of new registrations increased from 49,791 in 2005 to 82,753 in 2015.

The increases are partly a result of Government efforts to increase tax compliance and to improve the tax culture in the country, the SIN said.
