Belgium Waiving VAT On COVID-19-Related Activities

On March 24, 2020, the Belgian tax authority announced value-added tax will not be levied on medical equipment donated to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Additionally, taxpayers who incur additional costs to gain access or produce medical supplies may charge these costs as professional expenses, the tax authority said.
Furthermore, monetary donations to hospitals and healthcare facilities qualify for a tax deduction, the authority added.
