It was announced last week that Jersey-based Bank of Scotland International has won Best Savings Account in the Portfolio International Awards 2005 for its Instant Access Savings Account, an easy-to-use, sterling instant access account.

This is the second time this year that Bank of Scotland International has won a prestigious seal of approval for its Instant Access Savings Account, as they received a commendation in the Moneyfacts Savings Award 2005 for Best Offshore No Notice Account Provider.

Michael Chaytor, Head of Retail, Bank of Scotland International says of the Portfolio International award, “We are delighted that our sterling Instant Access Savings Account has won Best Savings Account in the Portfolio International Awards. Launched in 1997, this account offers a competitive blend of rate allied to ease of access, including its 24 hour telephone banking and online facilities. The transparency of product offering along with the competitive rate sets our Instant Access Savings Account apart. In fact, Bank of Scotland International was the only major Jersey offshore clearing bank to win both a Portfolio International award and a Moneyfacts commendation.”

The Bank of Scotland International Instant Access Savings Account is part of a multi currency portfolio of accounts covering sterling, euros and US dollars, as well as a suite of fixed rate products structured over 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 years.

Michael Chaytor adds, “At Bank of Scotland International, we offer lifelong financial support, from the simplest savings account to the most sophisticated Company structures. In our experience, having the backing of the HBOS group with its AA credit rating sets us apart from every other organisation. If an expatriate has a financial need, we have the solution.”

Bank of Scotland International offers a comprehensive range of banking and savings solutions worldwide from its offices in Jersey, Isle of Man and Hong Kong, providing financial support to expatriates, international clients and the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Island communities, ranging from the simplest savings account to the most sophisticated trust and company structures.
