Aus Gov't Announces Appointments To Board Of Taxation

The Australian Government has announced the reappointment of Michael Andrew as the part-time Chair of the Board of Taxation.
The Board of Taxation is a non-advisory body, charged with providing advice on improving taxation laws and on the development of the tax system.
Andrew will remain in the position for a further two years from January 1, 2018. He was Chair and CEO of KPMG International between 2011 and 2014, and Chair of KPMG Australia from 2007. He was also a member of the Business Council of Australia and the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum.
Andrew chaired the Government's Black Economy Taskforce.
The Government has also announced the reappointment of Mark Pizzacalla and Craig Yaxley as part-time members of the board, each for a further three-year period. Rosheen Garnon has been appointed a new part-time member for three years.
