Andorra Revises Key Financial Sector Laws

On the recommendation of Andorra's Finance Minister Jordi Cinca, the Andorran Government approved five legislative decrees, revising existing laws relating to the functioning of the Andorran financial system.

According to the Andorran Government, the legislative decrees will amend the following financial sector laws:

  • The law on the organizational requirements and operating conditions for entities active in the financial system, the protection of investors, market abuse, and financial guarantee accords;
  • The law on the legal regime for authorizing the creation of new entities operating in the Andorran financial system;
  • The law governing the criteria for solvency and liquidity of financial entities;
  • The law regulating collective investment undertakings;
  • The law regulating the disciplinary rules within the financial sector.
