Worldbid.com, the Canada-based multi-industry B2B marketplace that connects buyers and sellers worldwide for interactive trade, has joined with BahamasB2B.com in order to launch into the Caribbean market. Together they are introducing a new trading hub for Bahamian businesses - WorldbidBahamas.com - which becomes the latest addition to Worldbid.com's growing international network of 19 interactive, regional partner sites in the US, Latin America, Europe, Asia and now the Caribbean.
BahamasB2B.com itself was only established in September. Among its members are some of the largest companies in the Bahamas. The new venture,WorldbidBahamas.com, is an international, business-to-business marketplace that facilitates international trade by providing import/export trade leads, B2B auctions, and catalogue posting for more than 1,100 industry categories. Registered membership provides access to a network of affiliated sites that work together to enhance imports and exports across borders as well as national trade within borders.
President of Bahamas B2B, Lisa Wells, commented: 'With the arrival of DSL at the end of the year and with the local cable company completing work on their fiber optic cable to the United States, the pent-up demand for Internet usage is going to explode.'
WorldbidBahamas says
it caters for all industries - 'from conch fishermen to offshore
banking firms,' it said, 'WorldbidBahamas.com members will have
access to the more than 1,250 new B2B leads posted each day on
the
Worldbid.com network to a total of U$1 trillion in trade lead
value currently posted.' The company says that the establishment
of WorldbidBahamas. com will greatly enhance the Bahamas' global
trade reach.
