The UAE Securities and Commodities Authority and the Vietnam State Securities Commission have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), it has been announced.
The MoU, signed on on September 4 in Hanoi, aims to accelerate joint efforts and support in the securities field, thus contributing to promoting a comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The signing was made on the sidelines of the visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to Vietnam.
Under the memorandum, the bodies will provide technical assistance based on consultations between them, to identify areas where the development of the capital markets in each country can be strengthened.
The UAE also expressed its eagerness to pour indirect investment into Vietnam, and to share experiences with regard to economic development in general.
