Vanuatu’s Foreign Minister, Moana Carcasses, held talks on Tuesday with Chinese counterpart Li Zhaoxing, as the two nations sought to increase bilateral trade ties.
According to regional media reports, the Chinese government was optimistic that the two countries will cooperate more closely not only in the area of trade and the economy, but in regional and international organisations.
Meanwhile, Carcasses expressed appreciation for China’s long-term support of the Pacific state, and hoped that closer links would help boost its tourism, agricultural and fishery sectors
