UK Tory Leader Hague Says Cut Betting Tax

Following the flight of much of the UK horse-race betting industry to Gibraltar, Conservative Party William Hague said in an interview that the Government should act quickly to cut UK betting tax. He said it was obvious something had to be done to discourage bookmakers from going offshore and concentrating their business there. Hague said he thought that Government was far too complacent about the impact of new technology on betting tax revenue.
