A wealth of intellectual property advice and practical help will be on offer to small and medium sized enterprises at an UK Patent Office-organised event to be held in London on December 4.
Free information on a wide range of intellectual property matters - from patents, trade marks, new designs legislation, commercial and mediation services - will be available at the Patent Office Intellectual Property Awareness Day, which will be held at the British Library.
Hosted by the Patent Office, and supported by Business Link, the event will bring together representatives from the professional bodies The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA) and The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) under one roof.
Speaking with regard to the Patent Office initiative, Barry Treves, President of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) observed that:
"For many years The Patent Office has worked very hard to enhance the awareness and understanding of the intellectual property system throughout the UK. This worthwhile activity benefits not only individual users of the system but also the economy as a whole which is why the Institute is delighted to lend its support to this campaign."
