UK-based overseas mortgage specialist Conti Financial Services has launched a mortgage scheme aimed at buyers who are seeking to acquire property in Switzerland.
Although ostensibly aimed at buyers from the UK, the firm indicates that the scheme is also open to expatriates and most nationalities no matter where they are located.
The mortgages are available for both house purchases and refinancing for home improvements and are of a straight repayment variety.
The minimum loan is for £150,000 and the maximum loan to value ratio is set at 80%. The terms are fixed for 20 years for 80% loans and 35 years for 60% loans.
The current variable interest rate on the mortgages in Swiss Francs is from 2.25%, although the firm said that 60% mortgages attract a slightly higher rate.
