The UK Intellectual Property Office on Friday announced that the launch of its enhanced website and new logo would take place on December 1.
Enhancements to the website have been introduced as a result of extensive user consultation. The website has been given a dedicated area for professional users, and aims to provide easier access to online services, improved access to consultations to broaden the audience who shape intellectual property policy, and new interactive features to provide education and awareness.
In the future, the Intellectual Property Office will introduce web-based toolkits and guides to help businesses make the best use of their ideas.
Sean Dennehey, Assistant Comptroller explained that:
"A lot of work has gone into refreshing the website. We hope that businesses small and large, new and longstanding will find it much easier to get the information and guidance they are looking for."
The UK-IPO also announced plans to unveil its new logo, which is aimed at building on an already successful brand. To be consistent with the logo and brand identity, the Office's new title from December 1 is "Intellectual Property Office" (rather than "UK Intellectual Property Office").
