The United Arab Emirates has been having discussions with Syria about proposed bilateral trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Sheikha Lubna Khalid Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, met up with the Syrian Prime Minister, Mohamed Naji al-Otari, as part of a delegation representing various industries. During the meeting Sheikha Lubna talked about the many opportunities available to develop the economies of both countries. The Prime Minister was keen to discuss Syria’s plans for using gas discovered recently.
Sheikha Lubna also met up with the Syrian Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and Commerce and the Minister of Finance to discuss bilateral relations.
