The new Chief Minister of Turks & Caicos has spelled out his vision for the nation's future during his swearing-in ceremony, promising "transparent and accountable" government and an investor-friendly environment.
"We begin as we intend to continue," proclaimed Mr Misick. "Your government is and will remain an open, transparent and accountable government. We will operate in the openness of public scrutiny."
Turning his attention to prospective investors to the jurisdiction, Misick promised to "support and encourage a desire to make your investment successful. We will also seek to enlist your support as co-founders in effort to build a nation of first world status where all of our people can share in the fruits of the growing economy."
Mr Misick was sworn in by Governor James Poston, who also administered the Oaths of Allegiance to his chosen ministers, including Mr Floyd Basil Hall who will act as Deputy Chief Minister as well as Minister for Finance and National Insurance.
