At the 2006 Innovation Forum held at Dublin Castle this week, Enterprise Ireland unveiled its new IP exchange portal, Techsearch.ie.
According to EI:
"TechSearch is a technology licensing and partnering service available from Enterprise Ireland which operates across all industrial sectors and provides assistance and expertise to clients to successfully licence technologies from international sources."
"Licensing enables companies to acquire rights to employ proprietary, externally-developed technologies to develop their own products, processes and services. TechSearch is available to companies that are clients of Enterprise Ireland, IDA, Shannon Development and Udaras na Gaeltachta."
In addition to assisting Irish firms to both buy and license intellectual property, the site provides patent and technology search facilities, and allows businesses to conduct an IP 'audit' in order to assess their readiness for licensing.
