It was announced last week that the Taiwan Securities Association and the Australian Financial Markers Association have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) increasing cooperation between the two bodies.
The MoU makes provision for exchanges of information on financial market regulations, in addition to toughening the sanction mechanism, and paving the way for joint expansion in the Asia-Pacific markets.
According to a report from Taiwan's official Central News Agency, the agreement was signed by TSA President Huang Min-chu, and AFMA Chairman Robert Priestley.
