Switzerland: Youtrade Introduces Stock Trading Via Personal Digital Assistants

Ulrika Lomas, Tax-news.com, Switzerland

Credit Suisse's online broker Youtrade now has another string to its bow. It's just brought in "Youtrade on Palm", which boosts the speed of stock trading in Switzerland via Personal Digital Assistants or PDAs.

The software for the new application was developed in co-operation with Credit Suisse by Ergon Informatik. Basically, the software uses the highest level of encryption technology, bringing the product's security standard in line with that of Internet banking generally in Switzerland. Data is transmitted via the infrared interface of the PDA (Palm Pilot, Visor or IBM Workpad) and mobile phone.

Youtrade on Palm offers the same services as the Internet-based version of youtrade: buying and selling of securities on the Zurich, New York, Nasdaq and Xetra markets as well as a full range of information including stock market prices, market information and charts.
