Switzerland To Play Host To Alternative Investment Forum

London-based Edge Events, which acts as a link between fund managers and investors in the global alternative investment market, is hosting an "Investors Club Edge" Forum in Lugano, Switzerland, on 10-11 May 2001. The event follows a successful forum in St Moritz in January.

The “Investors Club Edge” Forum is an exclusive gathering for 80 to 100 "alternative" investors, and provides the opportunity for the sharing of views on investment issues and challenges. Edge Events states on its website that it 'firmly believe that investors with a first hand knowledge of the "players" will always have the advantage in selecting money managers. The Edge Group goes to great lengths to ensure that its various events offer distinctive opportunities for investors to consider allocating funds to a wider range of managers including established managers, those who have been overlooked in the past and managers who until recently remained undiscovered.'

Edge Events says the Lugano forum will offer 'time and cost efficient investor networking, interspersed with topical investment information from 25 or so enticing fund managers.' According to the company, benefits of the forum include valuable intra-investor contact, formal presentations and round-table discussion sessions, and the potential for guests to establish "less superficial" relationships than traditional conference formats permit.

Investors attend the event on a complimentary basis and the programme includes a Gala Dinner. Further details are available at http://www.edgeevents.com/clubedge.html, telephone (44) 20 7610 6201, or e-mail clubedge@edgeevents.com.
