Leading Swiss law firm, Lenz & Staehelin announced this week that it will be hosting a conference focusing on trusts and taxation in Switzerland, to be held on April 20 at the Carlton Tower Hotel, London.
Chaired by Richard Pease, who has been a partner at Lenz & Staehelin since 1967, the 'Destination Switzerland' conference will cover a range of current topics.
Delegates will learn about the application of the new EU Savings Directive (set to come into force on July 1, 2005), and the recognition and taxation of trusts in Switzerland, alongside comprehensive information on charitable foundations, corporate and individual taxation and Swiss banking.
In a statement, the law firm explained that:
"Switzerland has always been and will continue to be an important base for international banking and trusts. It is imperative that private and corporate lawyers, advisers and accountants, as well as tax and trust professionals are kept up to date with the wide range of tax incentives and opportunities in Switzerland."
