Pictet & Cie, a leading Swiss private banking and asset management company, recently launched a new online service for its private clients, Private Net, through which clients can consult their accounts on the Internet.
Those connecting to Private Net can access their portfolios at any time and from anywhere in the world. Moreover, they can consult their assets and analyse the movements on their accounts, as well as seeing the impact the sale of securities would have on their portfolios. Private Net users can also access information on the performance of their portfolios on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, and receive real-time news on the stock market..
A statement from Pictet said: 'Private Net has a user-friendly interface and requires no installation or specific training. It marks a significant step in the development of Pictet's online services and illustrates the Bank's philosophy in this field: expand human relationships without replacing them by electronic relationships'.
Pictet already offers direct banking facilities tailored to suit other categories of clients. Last year the bank launched Business Connect, an online service intended for its institutional management, Global Custody and Family Office clients, as well as independent asset managers.
