The Swedish Foreign Ministry has announced that it will give SEK 9 million in administrative support to the Russian Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to help Russia reform its tax system, to work towards WTO membership and adhere to the EU legal framework for the internal market.
The Swedish government has provided aid and advised the central Russian administration since 1992 through the Swedish-Russian Cooperation Programme on issues such as budget administration, general auditing, tax legislation and tax administration.
