Following an informal working dinner held on Wednesday, UK Foreign Minister, Jack Straw and his Spanish counterpart, Josep Pique issued a joint statement revealing that no agreement has yet been reached on how to proceed over the sovereignty of Gibraltar.
According to reports, the two men announced that despite this, they have decided to honour a scheduled meeting of the Brussels Process to be held in Madrid on July 12.
The communique revealed little else, stressing - as both sides have continued to do throughout the increasingly strained talks - that negotiations are taking place in a 'friendly and constructive' atmosphere.
