According to a report from the Iberia News service, the British and Spanish Foreign Secretaries are to meet again at the end of September as part of a continuing effort to bring the Anglo-Spanish talks on Gibraltar to a conclusion.
Detailing Jack Straw and Ana Palacio's plans to meet in London on 27 September, Iberia News observed that: 'The announcement came only days after the National Day celebrations which demonstrated the continued strength of feeling in Gibraltar against the joint sovereignty agreement.'
The newspaper also reported that local campaigning groups had announced plans to redouble their efforts in the wake of the announcement.
Chief Minister, Peter Caruana revealed earlier this month that a referendum on the principles joint sovereignty will be held for the Rock's residents on 7 November.
