Spain To Host Leading Alternative Investment Conference

The Strategic Research Institute has announced the staging of a leading alternative investment conference to be held in Spain later this year.

The Alternative Investment Roundup Europe conference will hear from leading decision makers from both the hedge fund and private equity worlds including hedge fund managers and fund of funds managers, buy out and venture capital funds, limited partner investors, secondary funds, and private equity fund of funds managers.

Chairing the hedge event, Edwin T. Burton, Trustee, Virginia Retirement System, will lead a discussion on topics including the new German regulations, picking the right consultant, choosing the right hedge fund strategies and allocation, and investing direct or through a fund of hedge fund.

Private equity Chairperson, Charlie van Horne, Managing Director, Abbot Capital Management will explore the issues of European mid-market versus Pan-European groups focusing on returns, strategies on gaining access to top tier US venture capital funds for Europeans and lessons from the 1990s.

The conference will take place in Marbella from November 28 to 30, 2004.
