In response to pressure from Britain and Europe the islanders of Sark agree that changes are necessary in their feudal laws. The General Purposes and Advisory Committee will create a panel with a mandate to review The Reform (Sark) Law 1951 and to make proposals to Chief Pleas as to how it should be amended. The panel may also include non-Chief Pleas members. The committee also wants to introduce a divorce law and will seek approval from Chief Pleas to commence drafting legislation.
