The 20th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show opened on Thursday, featuring a multi-million dollar display of power and sail boats and marine products.

The Show featured 455 exhibitors and at least 127 world and Australian marine product launches, and there are almost 400 boats on water, plus hundreds of other boats and marine products through pavilion and hardstand displays.

The 20th annual Show operated between 22nd May and 25th May.

"This year on water displays alone stretch 5.232km if placed stem to stern," announced Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show general manager Barry Jenkins, continuing:

"On water displays stretch from A to H marina arms and there are four major pavilions plus hardstand displays."

"It is fantastic how the Show has grown over 20 years to now hold a place as a leading marine event in the Asia Pacific region," he added.

Dignitaries and international guests attended the invitation-only Official Opening on Thursday.

"We know key government groups such as Austrade and the Queensland Government have international buyers coming in from around the world from Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand and India," Mr Jenkins revealed, ahead of the opening.

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is a member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO), Marine Queensland, Superyacht Base Australia and the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX).
