In Copenhagen on Monday Russia and Denmark signed an inter-departmental agreement on cooperation and exchange of information on tax issues. The agreement was signed by Russian Tax Minister Gennadiy Bukayev, who explained in a press briefing that it will allow for the exchange of information on tax issues and that this will happen automatically and spontaneously in every concrete case.
Bukayev praised a provision in the agreement on simultaneous tax audits. "This means that Russian and Danish competent tax agencies can agree to organizing such checks on their territory," the minister said. Russia has already signed a similar agreement with Sweden.
The Russian minister held substantial talks with his Danish colleagues, and met Danish businessmen to brief them about improvements in Russia's tax legislation.
