Rothstein Kass Ranked As Best Accountant To Hedge Fund Sector

Rothstein Kass, a top 20 international accounting and consulting firm, has been ranked by Alpha magazine, a sister publication of Institutional Investor, as the best accounting services provider for hedge funds.

Rated by the hedge fund managers that utilize its services, Rothstein Kass scored the highest in all surveyed categories: audit, fees, regulatory compliance, responsiveness/quality of personnel and tax. In doing so, Rothstein surpassed the 'Big Four' accounting firms in all of the categories.

Alpha's inaugural rankings were based on voting conducted in the summer of 2005 by representatives from more than 600 hedge fund management firms around the world. The surveyed firms manage an estimated $675 billion in single-manager hedge funds, close to 70 percent of the industry's total assets.

Founded in 1959, Rothstein Kass, which has offices across the United States and in Grand Cayman, currently provides audit, accounting and tax services to approximately 1,500 hedge funds. Its financial services clients include: domestic and offshore hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, commodity pools and broker-dealers, among others. The firm's diverse client base consists of both start-ups and large institutional funds.
