Following a denial in late March of FindWhat.com's motion to dismiss the case against it, a patent dispute between the search firm and its rival, Overture will be heard by a jury later this month.
In 2002, FindWhat sought to have Overture's patent on a "System and Method for Implementing a Position on a Search Result List Generated by a Computer Network Search Engine" overturned when Overture sought to license the technology to it on what it saw as unfavourable terms.
In response, Overture filed suit against FindWhat and internet search portal Google, although the dispute with the latter was settled last August.
According to reports in the US media, pre-trial motions will be heard by a judge next Monday (April 11), with a jury trial set to begin just over a week later.
