Paragon Bermuda, the e-business services group, has announced the launch of its Financial Services Technology Group (FSTG), a new division which will provide senior information technology services for banks, finance, investment and insurance companies on the island.
The FSTG services will include business analysis, software development and project management to help financial services companies to meet their e-business and technology objectives. Typical projects include the development of a secure real-time trading system, a brokerage management system, a portfolio management system, a client relationship management system for private banking, and the automation of a trust accounting system.
In a statement released by Paragon, Glenn Henderson, Managing Director, explained: 'Clients want to be able to discuss their business needs with people who understand their industry and can implement their technology requirements. At Ernst & Young and now at Paragon we realized there was a growing need in the financial services market in Bermuda for senior IT consultants so we've hired the best in the business to serve that need. Our new Group has over 30 years combined experience in analysing and implementing solutions in the financial services industry.'
He added: 'Bermuda-based companies used to have to go onshore for this type of analytical IT experience, so it's very exciting to be one of the first Bermuda companies to offer this service. More and more companies today are realizing how mission critical their IT systems are to the success of their business and we're here to serve them.'
